Lee Renton
Lee is an experienced bid and programme manager with an understanding of public transport operations, rail franchising and procurement processes for major projects. He has a proven record of managing tender submissions for private sector clients bidding on major public transport and infrastructure projects, with a focus on rail, light rail and buses. This includes involvement throughout all stages of the tendering process including Industry Engagement, Expression of Interest, Invitation to Tender, Best and Final Offer and other post-tender activities to see the projects through to Contract Close.
He has worked on projects in the United Kingdom, Australia and Europe, with major clients including Arriva UK Trains, Keolis Downer, Hitachi Rail and Bombardier Transportation. Recent UK experience includes the East Midlands Franchise and HS2 rolling stock bids.
Lee has a Civil Engineering background and prior to moving into bidding was involved in numerous transport projects in the areas of transport planning, business case development, traffic engineering, feasibility studies, options assessments and project development.
