Gary Jenkinson
Gary has 37 years experience in rail, mainly in operational and project roles including over 8 years at First Group’s Rail Division managing projects such as the UK’s first application of DAS at FGW, TPE mobilising Scottish services and planning for significant service uplifts and new rolling stock introduction within Scotrail. Such is his experience, he able to advise on almost any operational matter and manage major change programmes.
Since leaving First Group, Gary has worked on various projects including Traffic Management and franchise bids and was the programme lead for the introduction of the Tracsis Enterprise suite within GTR. He was lead external consultant for preparation and implementation of the emergency train crew arrangements to rectify the timetable issues that were introduced with the May 2018 timetable. His most recent assignment was interim Head of Major Programmes at Southeastern, covering major blockades, an upgrade to the control room systems, Grip 4 work for the building of a new maintenance depot and preparing the business for a no deal Brexit.
